Courtney O’Brien began her legal career at Blank Rome LLP in Philadelphia, where she spent nearly six years as a commercial litigation associate. As part of Blank Rome’s commercial litigation practice group, she represented clients across a wide range of commercial and corporate disputes, including contract litigation and class action matters.

In 2021, Courtney moved in-house at Attentive, a comprehensive text message and email marketing platform, where she spent just over five years. She joined as Senior Counsel, Product, and was later promoted to Lead Counsel, Product & Litigation, bridging the gap between the company’s product organization and its litigation exposure, advising on how a fast-moving SaaS product intersected with a complex regulatory and legal landscape.

Today, Courtney is a Solutions Attorney at GC AI, where she sits at the intersection of law and emerging technology. She teaches AI prompting classes to legal professionals and works directly with clients to implement AI solutions tailored to their transactional needs, helping legal teams put practical, well-designed AI tools to work in their day-to-day practice.

Courtney earned her J.D. from Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law.

Unlike lots of trainings, all of the time we spent in this program was valuable. And the training came with lots of materials we could take with us.

Energetic. High-level of knowledge, with way of explaining the assuming the right level of knowledge to not make it too hard to understand or overly simplified
